Meesho Pricing Strategy: How to Price Products for Profit

Updated 27 October 2026 · 3 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

Meesho shoppers are price-sensitive, which tempts suppliers to price too low. The suppliers who last price for profit after shipping and returns – and win orders with value, not just cheapness.

Build a floor price

Product cost + packaging + shipping charge + expected return cost + ads (if any) = break-even. Add your profit target to get the minimum price.

Value over cheapness

Combos (pack of 2 or 3), better fabric and better images let you charge more than the cheapest listing while still winning orders.

Test prices

Change prices in small steps and watch orders for a week. Sometimes a small increase barely changes orders but improves profit significantly.

Watch weight slabs

A product near a weight boundary may become more profitable with lighter packaging, which lets you price lower.

Sale-time pricing

Plan discounts for festivals and events from your floor price, including higher return rates during sales.

Price endings and anchors

Prices like ₹299, ₹349 and ₹499 are familiar to Meesho shoppers. Combos priced just under a round number ("Pack of 2 – ₹499") signal value. Test what works in your category.

When to raise prices

If a catalog sells consistently with good ratings, test a small increase. If orders hold, keep it. Many suppliers leave profit on the table by never testing higher prices on their best products.

Competing without a price war

Instead of matching the lowest price, compete with better images, clearer details, faster dispatch and value packs.

Competing in crowded categories

In categories like kurtis and sarees, many suppliers sell similar designs. Differentiate with exclusive prints, better fabric, combos, faster dispatch and better images rather than only price. Shoppers who receive a better product leave better ratings, which in turn improves visibility without cutting margin.

Reviewing prices monthly

Shipping slabs, product costs and return rates change. Recalculate floor prices monthly and adjust selling prices where profit has slipped.
