Meesho seller guide
Product Photography for Meesho: Images That Stop the Scroll
On Meesho's feed, the first image does most of the selling. You do not need a studio – a phone, daylight and a plain background can produce images that outperform expensive shoots.
Simple setup
- Shoot near a window in daylight; avoid direct harsh sun.
- Use a plain white or light wall or sheet as background.
- Use a phone stand for consistent framing.
- Clean the lens before shooting.
Angles to shoot
Front, back, side, fabric close-up, detail (print, embroidery, buttons) and the product worn or in use. For kidswear, flat-lay plus a worn image works well.
The first image
Fill the frame with the product, keep it bright and sharp, no collage, no text. Test variations if a catalog gets views but no orders.
Editing
Adjust brightness and white balance so colours are true. Remove messy backgrounds with the background remover, and resize to square with the image resizer.
Size chart image
Add a clear size chart image with measurements – it reduces returns.
Shot list for clothing
- Front on model or neatly styled flat-lay.
- Back view.
- Fabric close-up showing texture.
- Detail shots: neckline, embroidery, print, buttons.
- Full outfit if it is a set (kurta + pant + dupatta).
- Size chart image.
Consistency across catalogs
Use the same background and lighting for all products in a catalog. Consistent images look professional and help shoppers compare designs quickly.
Avoid these image mistakes
- Collages and heavy filters.
- Watermarks or contact details.
- Dark, yellowish indoor lighting.
- Cropped products where the full design is not visible.
Testing first images
When a catalog gets views but few orders, try a new first image – a brighter shot, a model image instead of a flat-lay, or a closer crop. Change only the image and compare orders over the next week. Image tests are the cheapest way to grow orders on Meesho.
Image size and format
Square images display well in Meesho's feed. Export high-resolution JPGs, and use the image resizer to produce consistent square images for a whole catalog at once.
Checklist
