FirstCry Order Processing: Labels, Invoices and Packing Without Mistakes

Updated 27 October 2026 · 3 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

FirstCry dropship sellers usually download a merged PDF with invoices and shipping labels. The label tells the courier where to go – but not which style and age to pack. Packers have to read the invoice for each order, which is slow and error-prone.

The manual way and its problems

Flipping between invoice and label pages for every order leads to wrong ages, wrong styles and missed multi-quantity items – which become returns and bad ratings.

The automated way

The FirstCry label crop pairs each label with its invoice, checks that the customer details match, stamps Style Code, Age and Qty on the label, crops to 4×6, drops the invoice pages and builds a picklist. Mismatches are flagged for review instead of being stamped.

Packing routine

  • Download the day's PDF at a fixed time.
  • Process labels and print.
  • Pick by style and age using the picklist.
  • Match the stamp on the label with the product.
  • Pack, seal and hand over.

Review flagged orders

If a label and invoice do not match, check the order in the portal before shipping.

Why label-invoice checks matter

If a label and invoice in the merged PDF do not belong to the same customer, packing by the invoice would send the wrong product to the wrong family. The FirstCry label crop compares names and addresses and flags mismatches instead of stamping them, so you can check them before shipping.

Multi-quantity orders

Quantity is stamped on the label and counted in the picklist. Use a tray per order for multi-item parcels and count before sealing.

Keeping records

Save each day's processed PDF and report. If a customer complains later, you can see exactly what was stamped and shipped.

A morning routine example

At 10:00, download the merged PDF and run it through the FirstCry crop. Check the report for flagged orders and resolve them first. Print the stamped 4×6 labels and the picklist. Pick all units for the batch by style and age into trays, then pack: match the stamp to the product, seal, attach the label. By the time the courier arrives, every parcel is checked and ready.

Why invoices are dropped from the print

FirstCry invoices are used to read product details, but printing them on thermal labels wastes rolls. The tool reads what it needs from the invoice and prints labels only. If your model requires invoices in the parcel, follow FirstCry's current instructions.

Handling peak volumes

During festive and seasonal peaks, process the merged PDF in two or three batches per day so packing can start earlier. Keep a second person checking multi-quantity orders and flagged labels.
