Pricing Kids' Products on FirstCry

Updated 27 October 2026 · 3 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

Parents compare prices but also value quality and safety. Price for sustainable profit and communicate value.

Floor price

Include product cost, packaging, commission and fees from your agreement, logistics and returns.

Value sets

Sets (top + bottom, multi-packs of bodysuits) raise order value and perceived value.

Seasonal offers and clearance

Plan offers for festive and seasonal peaks; clear outgrown-season stock before it ages.

Floor price example

If a cotton romper costs ₹180 to make, ₹12 to pack, and your agreed commission, fees and logistics plus expected returns add up to a known amount per order, your floor is the sum of these. Price above it with room for planned offers.

Price perception for parents

Parents look for value but avoid products that look cheap for their children. Show fabric quality and safety clearly to justify a fair price.

Offers that work

Multi-buy offers, sets and seasonal promotions usually work better than permanent deep discounts.

Pricing across the age range

Larger sizes use more fabric. Many brands price the same style slightly higher for older ages; others keep one price for simplicity and absorb the difference. Whichever you choose, make sure the largest sizes are still profitable.

Sets and bundles

Sets such as a top with matching shorts, or packs of bodysuits, increase order value and are convenient for parents. Price sets so they feel like a saving compared with buying pieces separately, while keeping your margin.

Reviewing prices each season

Fabric costs, logistics and return rates change. Review your floor prices and selling prices at the start of each season so promotions remain profitable.

Pricing new launches

New styles without ratings can benefit from an introductory offer for the first weeks, then move to their regular price. Plan the change in advance and keep the regular price above your floor.

Watching competitors

Compare your prices with similar kids' brands for the same fabric and quality. If you are higher, make sure your listing shows why – better fabric, safety features, finishing or set value.
