FirstCry Payments and Reconciliation for Sellers

Updated 27 October 2026 · 3 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

Regular reconciliation ensures every delivered order is paid correctly.

What to check

  • Delivered orders vs payments.
  • Commission and fees vs agreement.
  • Returns adjustments.
  • TCS/TDS credits.

Process

Download statements each cycle, match to orders, and raise discrepancies quickly through your FirstCry contact or portal.

Monthly reconciliation routine

  • Export delivered orders for the month.
  • Download payment statements.
  • Match payments to orders and note differences.
  • Check commission and fee rates against your agreement.
  • Raise discrepancies with evidence.

Tax credits

TCS and TDS deducted on marketplace sales are credits you can claim; reconcile them with your accountant monthly.

Cash flow

Plan working capital for the time between producing stock and receiving payment, especially before seasonal peaks.

Common differences

  • Orders delivered but not yet paid because of timing.
  • Returns deducted for orders you did not receive back.
  • Fee or commission rates that differ from the agreement.
  • Missing payments for multi-quantity orders.

Keeping evidence

Store processed label PDFs, packing videos for high-value orders and return inspection videos. They support any discrepancy or dispute.

Making reconciliation easy

Consistent order IDs, SKU codes and saved daily reports make monthly reconciliation fast. Build these habits from the first order.

Understanding your statement

A marketplace statement usually lists each order with its invoice value, the commission and fees deducted, any return or cancellation adjustments, tax collected at source, and the net amount paid. Read one statement line by line with your agreement beside you the first time – it shows you how FirstCry calculates every deduction, and makes later checks fast.

Note the difference between the order date, delivery date and payment date. Orders delivered near the end of a cycle often appear in the next payment, which can look like a missing payment if you only compare by month.

A reconciliation example

Suppose 420 orders were delivered in a month and your statements show payments for 405. Filter the 15 missing orders: some will have been delivered in the last days of the month and paid in the next cycle; some may have been returned; a few may be genuine misses. Only the last group needs a ticket – with order IDs, delivery proof and the expected amount. Working this way turns reconciliation from a stressful guess into a short monthly task.
