How to Sell on Myntra: Onboarding Guide for Fashion Brands

Updated 27 October 2026 · 4 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

Myntra is India's leading fashion and lifestyle marketplace. Unlike open marketplaces, Myntra curates its sellers: it onboards brands that fit its assortment and quality standards. Getting in takes more preparation, but the audience is fashion-focused and willing to pay for good brands.

Who Myntra onboards

Myntra primarily works with brands – established labels, growing D2C brands and quality private labels. Having your own registered or applied-for trademark, consistent product quality and good imagery improves your chances. Generic unbranded products are generally a poor fit.

Documents commonly required

  • GST certificate.
  • Trademark certificate (or application) for the brand.
  • Certificate of incorporation for companies.
  • PAN and TAN details.
  • CIN for companies.
  • Authorised signatory details.
  • MSME/Udyam registration if applicable.

Requirements vary by business type and change over time – Myntra's team confirms the list during onboarding.

The onboarding flow

  • Express interest through Myntra's partner channels and share brand details.
  • Myntra reviews your brand, products and pricing.
  • Register on the seller panel and submit documents.
  • Review and sign the agreement with commercial terms.
  • Receive your seller ID and start cataloguing using Myntra's templates.
  • Catalog is reviewed and approved before going live.

Choose a business model

Myntra works with several models, such as PPMP (you hold stock and ship each order with Myntra's labels and couriers), JIT (purchase-order based supply to Myntra) and M-Direct. Each has different operational demands. See Myntra business models explained.

Cataloguing

Myntra has strict catalog standards: specific image dimensions and styles, model shots, complete attributes and size charts. Catalog quality strongly affects visibility. See Myntra catalog guidelines.

First 60 days

  • Keep inventory accurate and fulfil orders on time.
  • Monitor returns closely – fashion returns are high on Myntra.
  • Prepare for Myntra's big sale events such as End of Reason Sale (EORS).
  • Print and pack orders efficiently – crop labels with the Myntra label crop.

Preparing a strong pitch

Before you approach Myntra, prepare a short brand deck: who you are, your target customer, categories and price range, sample product photos, current sales channels and monthly capacity. Show consistent, professional photography – it is the fastest way for a category team to judge whether your brand fits. If you already sell well on other platforms, include ratings and sell-through evidence.

Pricing for Myntra

Myntra's commercial terms (commission, fees and logistics charges) are set in your agreement. Build your floor price from these terms plus product cost, packaging and an allowance for returns, which are high in fashion. Myntra shoppers expect discounts during events, so set MRP and selling prices that leave room for them without loss.

After you go live

Monitor your first styles daily: views, add-to-bag, orders, returns and ratings. Fix size charts or images quickly if returns mention fit or colour. Plan your first event participation with the category team, and keep new styles coming every month so the brand page stays fresh.

Myntra vs other marketplaces

Myntra suits brands that invest in design, photography and consistent quality. Open marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart and Meesho suit broader assortments and value positioning. Many fashion brands sell on Myntra for brand building and on other platforms for reach, using the same SKU structure and master sheet across channels.

Common reasons brands are not approved – and how to fix them

Brands are most often held back by weak imagery, unclear brand identity, inconsistent quality or pricing that does not match the category. Photography is the easiest to fix: a professional catalog shoot with consistent models, lighting and backgrounds immediately changes how a category team sees your brand. A clear identity – who you design for and what makes you different – is equally important. If you are not approved the first time, ask for feedback, improve, and reapply with evidence of progress such as ratings and sales on other channels.

Building the operation that Myntra expects

Myntra measures fulfilment speed, cancellations and returns closely. Before going live, set up SKU-labelled storage, a daily stock update, a fixed processing time for orders and a packing table with polybags, tags and a label printer. Crop and print labels in batches with the Myntra label crop and pick by SKU. Brands that treat operations seriously from day one find it much easier to grow on Myntra, because good metrics open doors to events and better visibility.
