Myntra Catalog Guidelines: Images, Attributes and Content That Get Approved

Updated 27 October 2026 · 3 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

Myntra shoppers expect magazine-quality product pages. Catalogs that follow Myntra's standards get approved faster and convert better. Always download the latest templates and image guidelines from the seller panel – they are specific to each article type.

Image standards

  • Consistent model shots: front, back, side, close-up, full look.
  • Neutral, consistent background across your catalog.
  • Correct dimensions and aspect ratio as specified by Myntra.
  • Accurate colours – colour mismatch drives returns.
  • No watermarks, text or borders.

Image sequence

Lead with the most flattering full-length front shot, then back and detail views. Keep the same sequence across styles so your brand looks consistent in search results.

Attributes

Myntra uses detailed attributes – fabric, fit, neck, sleeve, length, pattern, occasion, wash care. They power filters and search. Fill them precisely; wrong attributes lead to returns and rejections.

Style names and descriptions

Use descriptive style names ("Women Floral Printed A-Line Kurta") and concise product details. Mention fabric, fit, and model size worn.

Size charts

Provide garment measurements per size and the model's height and size. See size charts and fit.

Common rejection reasons

  • Images not meeting dimension or background rules.
  • Missing or inconsistent attributes.
  • Colour names not matching images.
  • Incorrect article type.

Planning a catalog shoot

Build a shot list per article type (for example kurta: front, back, side, close-up of print, close-up of neckline, full look with bottom). Use the same model, lighting and background across a collection. Shoot colour variants in the same session so colour comparisons are accurate.

Image quality checks before upload

  • Correct dimensions and aspect ratio.
  • Product centred and consistently cropped.
  • Colours checked on a calibrated screen.
  • No dust, creases or loose threads visible.
  • File names match SKU/style codes.

Updating content over time

Refresh images and details of styles with high views but low conversion. A better first image can transform a style's performance without any change to the product.

Video and additional media

Where Myntra supports video or extra media for your category, short clips that show movement and fabric drape can improve confidence and reduce returns.

How catalog quality affects sales

On Myntra, the first image appears in a grid alongside dozens of competitors. Shoppers decide in a fraction of a second whether to tap. A crisp, well-lit, full-length image with a confident pose and accurate colour wins that moment. The following images then answer questions – back view, fabric, fit, details – that decide whether the shopper adds to bag and keeps the product. Better images therefore help at both ends: more clicks and fewer returns.

Track views and add-to-bag for each style. If two similar styles have very different click rates, compare their first images – it is often the clearest lesson in what your customers respond to.

Checklist

  • Latest templates downloaded
  • Model shoot planned with standard angles
