Writing product details
Short factual lines work best: fabric, fit, length, model size worn and care. Avoid unverifiable claims. Precise details reduce returns and support search filters.
Maintaining catalog quality
Review your catalog monthly: replace weak images, update size charts based on return feedback and deactivate styles that are out of stock for long periods.
Image specifications and why they matter
AJIO publishes image requirements per category – dimensions, aspect ratio, background and number of views. Images that do not meet them are rejected or displayed poorly, and inconsistent images make a brand page look messy. Set up your shoot so every image comes out of the camera close to specification: same distance, same lens, same background and lighting. Then post-production is light and consistent.
Name files with style code and view (for example KRT104-RED-1.jpg, KRT104-RED-2.jpg) so uploads match the right products and nothing gets mixed up during bulk upload.
From template to live listing
- Download the current template for each article type; old templates often fail validation.
- Fill a master sheet first with every attribute for every style and size – then copy into the template.
- Upload a pilot of a few styles, check how they appear on AJIO, fix issues, then upload the rest.
- After going live, search for your products and apply filters to confirm attributes work.
A disciplined master sheet also makes it easy to list the same products on Myntra, Flipkart or your website later.
Colour naming and variants
Use standard colour names that match the image and keep them consistent across styles. If a style comes in several colours, shoot them in the same session with the same lighting so shoppers can compare accurately. Wrong colour names lead to filter mismatches and returns.
