Fashion Product Photography for AJIO

Updated 27 October 2026 · 3 min read · By the LabelCroppers team

AJIO's premium positioning means imagery matters. Good photography increases approvals, clicks and conversion, and reduces returns.

Planning the shoot

Shot list per style: front, back, side, detail, full look. Consistent model, lighting and background across the collection.

Lighting and colour

Use soft, even light and a colour reference card; correct colour in editing.

Detail shots

Fabric texture, prints, embroidery, buttons, labels.

Editing

Clean backgrounds, consistent crop, correct dimensions.

Model and styling

Choose models who represent your target customer, style looks simply so the product stays the focus, and keep poses consistent across a collection.

Shot list example (kurta set)

  • Full front of the set.
  • Back view.
  • Side view.
  • Close-up of neckline and embroidery.
  • Fabric texture close-up.
  • Dupatta or bottom detail if included.

Post-production

Colour-correct against your reference card, remove dust and creases, crop consistently and export at AJIO's required dimensions.

Budget-friendly studio setup

You do not need an expensive studio. A seamless background roll, two softbox lights at 45 degrees, a reflector, a camera or good phone on a tripod, and a colour reference card are enough for consistent catalog images. Mark the floor for the model's position and the tripod's position so every shot in a collection is framed the same way.

Images that reduce returns

Add a detail shot that shows fabric thickness or transparency, a close-up of the fit at the waist or shoulder, and a full-length image that shows true length on a model of stated height. These answer the questions behind most "not as expected" returns.

Reusing images across platforms

Many brands shoot once and export different crops and sizes for AJIO, Myntra, Amazon and their own website. Plan framing with enough space around the product so you can crop to different aspect ratios without losing detail.
